Legal authorities and governments accept these rules around the world. Deciding which of the 11 Incoterms® to select is fundamental for the seller to create the pro forma invoice, and it serves as the basis for the buyer’s purchase order. So what is the perfect arrangement for the seller to offer while accommodating the buyer’s purchase terms?

Ex Works (EXW) named place and Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) named place are the opposite extremes of seller versus buyer responsibility. Ideally, sellers favor EXW because it’s the closest thing to selling domestically. Logistics Plus CEO Comments About Amazon in Erie

Logistics Plus Founder and CEO Jim Berlin spoke to local media yesterday about the recent announcement that Amazon will be opening a new, final-mile fulfillment center in Erie, Pennsylvania. Jim, and other local area leaders, say that an expansion like this can help other companies realize how Erie is an ideal location. According to Jim, one of the best parts of Erie is the easy access to larger cities.

“You think about it, 79 is a major highway south and 90 is a major highway east and west and we are right on that,” said Jim in the interview. “So it’s great for access. It’s great for Canada. You’re only an hour and a half from the Canadian border and a large population is East Coast. So I came out of the trucking business and we used to say you’re mostly two days away from the population by truck.”

When it comes to critical supply chains, a missing part or component could equate to losing money every minute until the part is replaced and the supply chain is running smoothly again. It is estimated that the value of the air charter services market was $26.57 billion in 2019 and it is projected to reach $33.08 billion by 2024.
