Logistics Plus Assists in Building the First FSRU Vessel in China

The Logistics Plus China and Belgium project cargo teams assisted with building the first ever floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) vessel in China. The transport involved shipping 3 regasification modules; the largest one measuring 20 x 10.5 x 14.5 meters and weighing 425 metric tons. These modules were transported from the production facility to the shipyard in China where they were being installed. Logistics Plus provided project management services to design the transport plan, provide oversight, and share the necessary information with all parties involved in this operation.

As a side note, Global Project Manager Frederik Geirnaert would normally attend such an operation. As a result of coronavirus (COVID-19), Frederik was forced to oversee the operation virtually using a direct video link provided by the nominated Marine Warranty Surveyor. Logistics Plus would like to thank all of our partners as this operation would not be possible without their support.
