The National Hurricane Center expects a storm surge along the coast of Florida and Alabama. Flooding is expected due to heavy rainfall and could cause flash flooding from the Florida Panhandle region into portions of Georgia, the Carolina’s, and southeast Virginia. Damaging hurricane force winds are likely along the Florida Panhandle, Big Bend, and Nature Coast, where a storm surge warning is in effect.
