Plus, Inc. Announces the grand opening of Their
new Global Headquarters Logistics Plus, Inc. moved in to their new global headquarters at Union Station over the Memorial Day weekend – a move Jim Berlin, the company’s CEO, contemplated making ever since he purchased this historical site last November, and rededicated it on December 3, 2003 exactly 76 years after it was originally opened to the public. According to Mr. Berlin “the vision we have to make Union Station Erie’s newest downtown destination, is beginning to take shape”. Currently, tenants at Union Station include Amtrak; Porter’s Restaurant and Tap Room; the Cornell Abraxas Learning Center; Early Connections; Mark Fainstein Photography; Professional Floor Care, Inc.; the Exitec Corporation, and the recently opened Global Auction Place, Inc. -- the new auction store that makes eBay selling easy. Logistics Plus has also taken Union Station from historic to hi-tech offering their tenants one of the most hi-tech business rental environments in the City of Erie, including the availability of CAT 6 –Enhanced computer wiring, and technical support services for their tenants computers A grand opening reception is scheduled for June 16, 2004 at Porter’s in Union Station. Expected to take part in this very special event include the business community, city, county, state, and federal officials, and the Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership – all of whom are credited with making the new vision for Union Station a reality.
