LOGISTICS PLUS ACQUIRES HORIZON LOGISTICS
ERIE, PA (April 12, 2011) – Furthering its strategy of delivering logistics
solutions and international supply chain management, Jim Berlin, Chief Executive
Officer of Logistics Plus, announced today the acquisition of Horizon Logistics,
the 3PL subsidiary division of Horizon Lines (NYSE:HRZ). The acquisition is expected
to be completed by April 29, 2011. Under terms of this agreement, Horizon Lines
will transfer the majority of its Irving, Texas based Horizon Logistics staff as
well as its Lexington, NC and San Francisco, CA based operations to Logistics Plus,
Inc.

The acquisition expands Logistics Plus’ portfolio of services including international
ocean transportation, air freight forwarding, intermodal transportation management,
distribution, warehousing and fulfillment, trucking and expedited delivery. Horizon
Logistics network includes warehouses, terminals and offices in Lexington, NC and
Dallas, TX.
